Studies of Educational Sociology vol.82


The Journal of Educational Sociology is a refereed semiannual journal of research on a wide range of topics of current interest to sociologists of education. Each issue consists of refereed articles as well as articles on a special theme requested by the editorial committee. The special theme of each issue is determined by the editorial committee with particular regard for its practical importance in Japanese education and academic significance to sociology of education. Examples of the themes of past issues are:

  1. Constructing Original Theories
  2. Recent Developments in Sociological Studies of Education
  3. The "Public" and the "Private" in Japanese Education
  4. Sociology of University Reforms

The Journal is published in Japanese language, with the English abstracts of articles.
